Three phone screens from the Silver Rocks digital menu: the restaurant menu in English, the same menu in Turkish, and the café menu

Overview

Silver Rocks Restaurant & Bar has a restaurant, a café and a pool area, each with its own menu. The website brings all three together in one place, in English and Turkish.

Guests choose a menu, move between categories and see each item with a short description and a clear price. Item photos appear where they have been added.

The business need

Guests at Silver Rocks may be at a table, at the café or by the pool, and they are usually browsing on a phone.

The restaurant needed one menu that works in both English and Turkish, keeps the restaurant, café and pool offerings separate, and lets people find a dish and its price without scrolling through everything.

My contribution

  • Planned the menu structure across the restaurant, café and pool.
  • Designed and developed the mobile-first menu website.
  • Implemented the English/Turkish language switch.
  • Organized the menu into categories with descriptions, prices and item photos.
  • Built a sign-in protected admin page for adding and updating menu items, prices, categories and photos in both languages.

Key features

  • Three menus, one place

A welcome page lets guests choose the restaurant, café or pool menu, and they can switch between them at any time.

  • English and Turkish

Every menu is available in both languages, switchable from the top of the page.

  • Organized categories

Category buttons, such as starters, fish, meat, salads and desserts, keep long menus easy to navigate.

  • Readable prices

Each item shows its name, a short description and a clearly set price.

  • Made for phones

Large tap targets and a single-column layout on small screens, so the menu is comfortable to use at the table.

  • Menu management

Menu content is stored in a database and updated through a sign-in protected admin page instead of code changes.
